not bashing qatar just asking about its cultural contribution and legitimacy of its claim over much older arab cities and cultures. its a serious question because i really dont know much about this place and saw the billboards. the skyline is impressive and so is the museum but its all designed by foreigners. even the ad campaign is done by foreigners. hoping someone can inform me. all I learned so far is Scotia is xenophobic. besides telling me that qatar has a bunch of money, how about responding to the question in the post. or are you such a slave to western materialism that you think money = culture?
ghazalz--i appreciate your viewpoint but could you be more specific? pakistan, for example, has a well-known ancient history steeped in military tradition and amazing architecture that is replicated through the world.
