First, im sure the pastor, like many others, believe that the quran is essentially plaigerism of other religious and scientific texts written well before it. Regurgetating information and presenting it as your own is offensive, it would be like if I took the quran, removed the lame parts like no pork and covering women, repackaged it with a different name and a few additional loonies talking to voices in their heads and sold it to the masses as if it was original.

Ill bet it would piss some muslims and christians off regardless if I made it a point to include other 'prophets' in it to make conversion to my 'new' belief structure an easier transition.

Second, if someone tells you they are illiterate, or more importantly writes that they are illiterate, doesnt mean that they are illiterate. People are capable of telling lies and the latter scenario should likely raise suspicion. Greeks had already documented prenatal human development well before the muslims claimed to have 'discovered' it. Again, taking someone elses findings and presenting it as your own does not make it your idea. Also, I dont think the greeks made the incorrect assumption that semem originated in your kidneys, but hey, nobody's perfect.

If your crutial point is that you believe whole heartedly in the 9/11 conspiracy theories, I mean, 'documentaries' then you should probably reevaluate your ability to distinguish facts from speculation. These people, like those that wrote the quran and other religious texts as well as people that claim to talk to your dead loved ones or tell your fortune, have a system of pointing their fingers in vague directions, while never making decisive statements. Its a practice that allows someone who is misrepresenting their abilities to have the flexibility to adapt their generalizations to be more true as they gain more information about what they claim to know already. The only difference is people who buy into the religious hoaxes do all the work by reading the texts in ways that are convenient for the texts, while fortune tellers have to both make the guesses and manipulate them to be true.

Overall, I think the pastor was probably just trying to take a cheap shot a muslims. Was he successful? Did he piss muslims off?

Also, what do you care? it isnt as if theyre arent plenty of qurans to go around to those who want to read it, so who cares... Its supposed to be gods book anyway, let him deal with it.

Finally, use the search feature, all this nonsense has been discussed several times already.
