The police on duty in the city will not stop you if you use mobile. They just note down your number. It happens mostly while we stop at the signal and we think it is not violation, but as per the rule it is violation to check text message or write a message even you are stopped on the traffic light. I have seen so many times the police note the plate number for such activities on the traffic lights
