The Labour Ministry in Qatar has announced a hotline to receive grievances pertaining to Ministry and private companies, from the public.
The service will be available on calling 44841221. The number will function under the Ministry’s public relations department. It is open for nationals, companies, and residents, who need to complaint about the performance of Ministry and its activities.
The complaints will be attended to immediately and will be referred to concerned officials or departments, with powers to deal with the matter and arrive at quick solutions, a senior Ministry official said.
The service is also open to expatriates, who wish to raise their voice about private companies. Even nationals, who have signed deals with the private sector firms, can lodge complaints through hotline service of the firm, to fulfill their contractual obligations.
The new service has been launched, following a series of meetings between Minister of Social Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour, H E Nasser bin Abdullah Al Humaidi, and senior officials from Labour Ministry.
