Just get a same day return ticket (the cheapest is usually Bahrain) and just go and come back on the next available flight. You automatically get 1 month visa on arrival back in Qatar.
Or if your husband has already got his residence permit, just ask him to apply for family visit visa, which is for 1 month extendable upto 5 more months. Once it comes through, you might be able to transfer your tourist visa to that without leaving the country. He should check with his company PRO for this.
