I've known men working for a company under the sponsorship of another. But a man under his wife's sponsorship - I've never heard of. Majority of companies would require the male to under the sponsorship of the company he's working for.
My advise is get a job if it provides a good renumeration and healthy working environment, go ahead with the change of sponsorship. If not, then don't go through the transfer and look for another.
