I've had my HP DV7 for 1.5 years and I've had to have it returned for fixing once after 7 months. And about 3 months ago the battery died altogether so I could only run it through AC mains - even though I never ran it on battery anyway.
I liked the power and functionality it had, but it was too prone to breaking down and overheating for my liking.
I've been looking at Dell laptops recently, in particular the gaming Alienware ones. I'm pretty sure that's going to be my next laptop investment.
So all the best to the folks at HP, but I won't be destitute without them.
