I hope that better minds than ours have thought this through and yet realistically I doubt that the medium term implications of this financial "bravado" have been thought through properly.

Such a cavalier attitude is in fairness not what we have come to expect from this government and i cant help feeling that this initiative is going to lead to economic issues - you just cannot not arbitarilly mess with one side of the economic model without impacting the other side - watch inflation to start with!!!
