Really, I wasn't aware of that. Where did you get that information from? Were you there? I had heard about them being herded in for the Asian Cup finals, but not this. Was that a vaild comment or were you just 'assuming and generalising'?

I hope it's the latter, because otherwise, it's not too good! But I really doubt if they would allow labourers to dress up as Qataris. From what I know, they're fiercely protective about their national dress and identity. I don't think they would dress up labourers as Qataris just to fill up the stadium.

But I agree to your other point, that the Iranians were exhausted. Maybe. But on the other hand, lazaroni had taken charge of the team just barely three weeks back and he had precious little time to prepare the side against a team of Iran's calibre. So I still think Qatar made the better use of the game and the point it offered.
