It's rented to the government.  Qatar University has their people in it.

The villas are spacious and nice.  In the past there was no maintanance being done and things were looking pretty bad.  Recently the University exerted some... pressure... and the owner/management did some genuinely good work there.

I would expect that maintanance is still somewhat of a problem, so if you are moving in I encourage you to go through the house thoroughly and try to get every small thing fixed from the beginning.  Maintanance tends to get more difficult after you move in.

Overall, though, I've heard good things about the compound and know some people who have recently moved there.  They seem happy.
