Flyinchef, your post has been hijacked by a few idiots.

Shiva87 is spot on, speak to your HR, getting your education certificated done in advance is great advice.

There are some great nurseries, have a look at Starfish Lane....though really depends on where you job is. With that in mind, probably worth having look at a couple of properties with a budget in mind, unless that's being supplied.

Ignore the negativity some people throw at you and come with an open mind. Doha is a brilliant place, of course there are negatives, but the pro's outweigh these most of the time! It's a muslim country, and as long as you're respectful of that, life is good. Ignore the gay and prostitution comments....these people have obviously never spent time in any major city anywhere in the world....it's not even close to being a problem.

Get a driver! If you're only here for a few days, it's not worth renting. The roads and traffic aren't as bad as people say, especially if you've driven in London or another UK city....but you will get lost!

I've been here on and off since 2008, and it's the place to be at the moment. It's a safe place and great for families.

Good luck!
