Remember DC primary only has two classes and given their sibling policy it is almost impossible for an outsider to get a place. However the secondary school has 6 classes per year and it is much easier to get in. Most students - unless they are completely thick get a place. Even if your kid is not academic, you might be able to get them in based on their sports or music capability - you will need to send references from their respective clubs/ orchestras.
