accidents happen, just more frequintly with the children of careless parents... I am talking as a former fatal car accidents investigator, not just a mother. Putting a seatbelt on a driver, but allowing your child to jump between the seats and stick her head out of the car roof-that's what make me feel sick, even looking at that. The situation with aquapark accident is pretty similar. it's the parent's responsibility first of all to make sure their kid learns to swim before allowing him on his own (you just can't off-load your parental responsibility to his siblings)on big waterslides etc. Or, alternatively, if your child is unable to swim or dive, make sure he is wearing swimming aid and WATCH him every second. It's not a life guard's child, it's YOURS!!!!!!!
