I heard months ago that they would remove Villagio, so that rumor comes as no surprise, however. . .in the meantime, it was a necessary facility that is going to be sorely missed, especially during the summer when there are not a lot of other entertainment/distraction(anyway) options.
I think it should be noted that the remodel of the food court at City Center seems to have been going on for well over 3 months now-and I believe that involved a small fire and I never heard of it in the news, just rumors from the neighborhood. Seeing how long it took them to get Dean and DeLuca in the mall, I really don't see them re-opening any time soon.
For the families of the victims, the fire is a total tragedy and a heartbreak. It breaks the hearts of all of us in Qatar. There is also a bigger picture of employees and citizens that will have their lives more difficult because of this-these difficulties will range from mild inconvenience to a total loss of income and future-so don't give Robert a hard time.
