As I said at the top of the the threads - husband needs to employ some reasoned thinking and dialogue with his former employer to secure a prolonged period in Qatar under their sponsorship and importantly the NOC to enable his to move seamlessly into alternative employment - given the circumstances that the OP outlines, it "shouldnt" be a problem - however, failure to secure one or both of these guarantees is a Qatar showstopper.
