I've had a couple of Volvos in Qatar an XC90 and an S80. They are great cars to drive but are made for temperatures below zero. The excessive heat in Qatar makes the car deteriorate rapidly especially the interior, leather seats and plastic on the exterior.
Any maintenance has to be done by the dealer for lack of parts and expertise elsewhere. One thing to note though the Volvo service interval is 10,000km compared to Nissan's 5,000 Km so you are paying for fewer services overall.
If you really want to know about how your XC60 will look in a few years time, go and look at some used models.
