Myself Sharachandran is a master degree holder in Engineering from a reputed college NIT - National institute of Technology.I
have come for visit visa in qatar and looking for a job in design field.My course was in manufacturing technology (2 year course).While my bachelors was in mechanical stream production engineering from kerala university.Today I attended an interview in mechanical design consultants in qatar and during my interview I could find my qualification was not relevant and my qualification cant be accepted in any engineering & consultancy office here in Qatar and if employed they cannot employ you as an engineer.further to my enquiry they told me as per Law no.19/2005, in consultancy and engineering offices must work only engineers certified by Ministry of Municipality and Urban planning.My degree was 1 4 year course and there is a mechanical engineering equivalency certification provided by Kerala university.Could ull please advise me regarding on this mater.I am mainly looking on for design jobs and I am having 2 years experience in India as design engineer in an MNC.My vist visa period ends within 3 months and I want to get through this issue.The employer had given me a promise that if I have the bring him this relevant qualification then he would hire me.Please advise on this.
