The only time it will affect you is when you go for a driving license. There are some categories of visa where driving license is not allowed such as that of barbers, janitors, cooks etc. However, I believe you can have the profession in your RP changed later on by submitting copies of your legalized education certificates to the authorities. Discuss this with your employer and he may be able to help you out.
