Hi All, I am currently working in Dubai accepted job recenlty in Qatar but told the Qatari company that i need residence visa issued first, to be on safe side, before I could resign.

They agreeded and i think they recenlty had sheikh signed etc and after eid holidays they will submit my visa, however today their VP (who i have worked with before and trust him) emailed me that i can go ahead and resign and by January they will have my visa (this is so i can save time from 30 days notice period in my current company).

Worst case while i know they can also get my business visa but what about my family in Dubai, wife, two childern (ideally my brother and mother also who are in my sponsership in Dubai).

Can the company also get visas, busines or any other pretty quickly for house wife and childern of business person visiting Qatar?

Also if i have UAE residence visa, can i also apply for Qatar residence and have this stamped on passport??

Please need your urgent advise... confused.

Regards, Irf.

P.S. I am Pakistani natinoal, with It degree experience in Finance and Job offer is of Finance Manager in Qatar.

Hi folks, to update you, I resigned start of this week..... as my current employer needed me in start of Jan.

they are very very confident they will get my visa, InshAllah things will go fine.

IF they do not get my PR i will be coming to Qatar as i can get two week's on arrival.

Also do you know If I can also bring my family wife and daughters with me and they will also be able to get visa on arrival? They are on my sponership.

Backup option, can my company get visas business or visit both for my family and me?

Any help or info that you may offer will be highly appreciated.

Regards, Irf.

Thansk for the advise, I am met with VP again today, who i know since last 7 years and can trust him.

he said they will get my visa but since & would like me to resign in my current comnpany ans they require me urgently as their pervious finance manager has already left...., he told me if .01% something goes wrong they will have me settled in Singapore..

Since i do not want to lose this offer, I am going to take the name of ALLAH and submit my resigniation after eid holidays....

Thanks all.

saying you will resign only after you get the RP is the right way to handle it. If they can get the visa for you by jan as they claim, then jan is just couple of weeks away... so it shouldn't matter.

Getting a business visa for you is very easy, takes a couple of days but what about your family then?

Pakistani RP is still difficult to get in most cases. Doha Asian Games and Construction industry are two examples where it was relaxed a bit. Fortunately for you, since you are applying for the post of Finance Manager, it too has been relaxed a bit.

Do get in touch when you come over, I had some really great Pakistani friends but many of them have left Qatar now...

Getting a business visa to Qatar is as easy as 123 like that u said u have good Mandoub. Since u r of Pakistan National, i dont suggest u going to Qatar on this visa. Your kid cannot be sponsored by your company on a business visa, u can sponsor them if u have your Qatar RP.

Companies cannot sponsor students to come to Qatar.

Dont get your UAE visa cancelled until your Qatar Work Permit is issued.

(Government now requires attested education Certificates of your respective government as well as it being attested by the country embassy in Qatar)

Thanks for the respones, while my company is confident that they can get the visa a) becuase they have good n smart mandooob b) the Sheikh / Local has said that if problems arise he will intervine....

To play safe, I will still tel them that you get my Qatar PR first before I resige....

I also been told by some other Pakistani's in Qatar that now a days visa for Pakistani's are relaxed it used to be very diffult say 3 years back or so.

worst case, if I resign and do not have UAE residency how soon can they get my business visa? and can my family also come with me on business visa? i.e. will company be able to get their business visas also along with me in case my residency is delayed?

Thanks for your valuablre inputs

Regards, Irfan

Whatever hashin has said is true. It is very difficult to get a Pakistani visa.

You are supposed to have residency of only one GCC country at any given point of time. I have been told that Dubai is more lenient in enforcing this rule, Qatar on the other hand is very stringent. Meaning you will probably be asked to cancel the Dubai residency before you get the Qatari one.

I hope your sponsor is really influential, cos getting a Pakistani visa can be difficult. But the good news is that getting a family visit visa doesn't take too much time.

I strongly suggest all my friends to get their hands dirty, roll up their sleeves and go with their mandoobs to the immigration. It really speeds up things, or else your application will drown among hundreds of others...

This information is to the best of my understanding, anyone who knows better please correct me if I am wrong...
