All government offices will be reopened on the 14th. You shouldn't ignore their visas being expired. Now you will be facing alot of problem by paying fines and aside from that it would be hard for you to take them here again. They will be facing deportation at your expense...your record will be marked. And if you do not pay the fines, because even after you pay fines now they will be going home, you will be in trouble that you will be jailed and deported also. Pray hard that all of what i said was wrong...

No grace period and no concession for children. If you overstay you pay: QR200 per day. Last month I went through this process because we overstayed by a few hours without renewing the visa.

The visa office next to the airport is open 24hrs so you can extend your visa at anytime during the first month of your stay. After and extension you must leave by the end of the second month. You should not ignore these rules as this is the law of the land.

Wait a minute, what happened to the 90 days grace period and the 10 QR fine per day after that?

I don't know if your wife will be deported, but you will have to pay a fine for each day that she overstayed her visa. I believe it is something like 200QR per day, so that's 12,000QR for her, and probably the same for your child.

If you can't pay this you will almost certainly all be deported and barred from re-entry to Qatar.
