My indian friend working in Oman since last 3 months (Visa valid til 2013) wants to visit Doha during Eid Holidays in November. Can he get a visa on arrival. Airline offices in Oman have said that he has to work a minimum of 6 months in GCC country to get a visa on arrival. Can anyone help?

No, thats not true, as long as you posses a valid visa in any GCC country, with a listed profession on your visa like teacher, manager, engineer, nurse, doctor etc. you will be visa on arrival in any GCC member country.
