Asking about Visa

Hi, every body

I am new in this forum. I hope you all can help me to answer my question.

I have been signed offer of employment from RasGas about 1 month ago( 12 0ctober 2006), so when is exactly I get my Visa? I heard from my friend, all of visas work are pending until asean games is finished, is it true? thanks all for your answer

nsy76, are you in Qatar already or you still in your country? I am canadian, and I have similar situation, but the company already sent me a ticket, and my flight is in 1 week, but I still haven't got a visa.. I am confused.. should I fly? or should I stay in canada and wait for visa??

Its been a month almost. There is problems with visa these days, they keep u waiting for long for work visa. But consider 5 to 6 weeks time. I happend with me and my other friends. So chill. dont worry.

No it is not true you can still get business visa's all the way through the Games! The business visa when first issued is for two week then the company can renew it upto three months at a time!
