Best procedure to obtain a tourist visa for a female friend and her 7 year old child. Any suggestions?

My female friend and her child want to visit Qatar during the Christmas break for 2 weeks.
Now she is an Indian citizen working in the USA for the last 3 years on work permit(HIB visa) in the IT industry.
What would be the best way for her to get a tourist visa for a couple of weeks during christmas break.
( Obviously I can't sponsor her as I am not related to her so the choices are :
1) fly Qatar Airways and obtain a tourist visa from them or ..
2) get a hotel to sponsor her visa... in which case she and her child will have to stay at the hotel .. which is fine for both of us !!!)
What do u guys think ? Any brainwaves on how to work the system ???

No. You dont have to approach five star hotels. There is many regular hotels lik gulf paradise hotel that can do it for you for a reasonable price.

Where can I get a list of hotels which sponsor tourist visas?
I suspect these must be the top end 5 star hotels and they will charge an arm and a leg for this service.

last time i checked Qatar Airways dont do tourist visa anymore ....
