Business Visit Visa Cancellation

DeadMan.
By DeadMan.

Hello everybody!

I am engineer, and have been looking for a job in Qatar. I have never travelled overseas and am a complete noob about visa rules and regulations.

Two employers showed interest in my profile and one of them sent me business visit visa for joining them. All was set but the other employer has now offered me with a salary package which is much higher than the first employer and i have decided to join the second employer.

Now the problem is that second employer cannot issue any (work or visit) visa in my name because a business visit visa has already been issued which is valid for 3 months.

What should i do? I have asked the first employer to cancel my business visa but they have not replied. Should i wait for 3 months? This might make me loose the second opportunity as well.

I request everybody who goes through this post to please guide me.

Thank You,

jkcoza, do not mislead people, if you not aware of the rules! deadman, you don't need an exit permit, if you stay in qatar on business visa less than 1 month! That's why i suggested to come for few days only. enter qatar and exit it. No presence of your sponsor is required at the airport.

Thanks everybody for your replies. /-a-t-/ Qatarisun - I might be using Option 3. Now i have only a computer print of Visa from MOI Qatar website. Is it the only thing required for a business visit? Or is the presence of Sponsor also necessary at airport? What about original visa submission at airport by employer 1? Secondly, what about exit permit? Will it be required from employer 1? I am sure the employer 1 will try to make things difficult for me. Worst come worst what can go wrong? I want to know. Please reply. Thanks

Jkcoza thanks for your reply.

Although maximum duration of stay on my BV is 1 month. But expiry date of visa i.e "entry before" is 3 months from the visa issuance date. Secondly, i have heard that exit permits are only required in case the BV has been extended.

Can anyone else confirm this? Plus i would request a reply on my last post.

Regards!

I am also on a BV.. Double check the validity, because my BV is only valid for a month, then you have option to extend for another 2 months without exit. So a total of 3 months without having to physically exit. However, you do need an exit permit from the sponsor to exit, therefore, its not going to work to come here if you dont get exit permit or NOC from the first company.

DEPENDS ON YOUR NATIONALITY ,HAH! DISCRIMINATION IS STILL...ANYWHERE! ANYWAY I SUGGEST JOIN WITH THAT COMPANY WHO  ALREADY SENT YOU A VISA.TOO LATE FOR YOU TO MAKE A CHOICE,DUDE.I GUESS YOU WERE GIVEN THE DETAILS BEFORE THEY GOT YOU A VISA,HONOR YOUR WORD AND COMMITMENT. THAT'S HOW IT GOES SOMETIMES.DEAL WITH IT.DONT TRY TO ENTER DOHA THEN EXIT TO CHANGE COMPANY AND VISA,BECAUSE I'M SURE THE FIRST COMPANY WILL MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR YOU...YOU ARE GOING TO QATAR,DUDE.NOT SAME AS YOUR OWN COUNTRY WHEREVER YOU CAME FROM!

A Catch-22 of sorts, can't add to the 4 options above by Qatarisun.May be you can offer to reimburse the expenditure incurred on your BV to the first employer or by providing the contact details of the first employer to the 2nd, you can ask them to resolve your matter locally. If nothing works and employer 2 can not be made to wait for 3 months then I think you might want to consider option 3 or 4 above. If at all an exit is required then a trip to Bahrain will do.

You have 4 options:

1. To wait 3 months till visa is expired

2. To ask your first employer to cancel your visa, but they won't do it, because it is costly

3. To enter Qatar under your business visa, to stay here 1 day, and exit Qatar. Like if the visa was used, and no longer valid

4. To enter Qatar under your BV, and ask your first employer for NOC, so that your second employer could apply for your work visa while you are in Qatar, without exiting the country.
