Hai

I’m new to this forum. I’m expecting valuable advice from this forum.

I’m a computer  engineer( B.tech, comp. science) working as a oracle system analyst in

well know industries in Qatar.

My problem is I’m getting low salary (Qr 3500 + Qr 1000 House Allo.) you may be knowing that with this salary how I can I stay in this country. I got release from my ex-sponsor and changed my

Sponsorship into my present employer. I’m working in this company since last 2 years.

Now I’m the key element to this company and have implemented new computer systems for

this company. Now I’m having a good offer from other company and they are ready to give good salary package. (Qr8000 + Qr 4000 + other allowance) . I submitted a release request letter and they were not responding at all for long time. Finally they are offering me Qr 500 . more. But the funniest thing is that they are paying Qr  10,000 + accom. for the newly coming people.  Now  I cannot work with this company. I totally depressed and cannot concentrate on my work. Please advice me what are the procedure to get a release from my company. My company is giving release to other staffs also , but I don’t know why these people are not releasing me. I really wants to escape from this slavery. Can anyone help me ?

han19: yeah it does make sense .. i'm very friendly person here .. i don't only treat those people well but i also have fun n jokes together .. as if i'm one of them .. cuz all of us r human beings n he/she have nothing to do with her life .. thank good they all likes me n dealing with me without that proud wall .. u know .. may that was one of the reasons that this driver helped me.

silvermoon: u r right but it wasn't gr8 to expect a help from ur direct blood relative (supposed to be my father) and refuse.. i was going to get mad .. how can he do like that..

and i'm afraid wutever happens he still my father at least my ID card is saying like that.. u know wut i did after that.. u won't beleive it.. i talked to him in a polite way ..with a words like putting poison in ur sweet.. he was like "i'm very sorry" .. u know wut .. when i was attending to buy my car .. its price was 11,000 and all i've got was 10,000 .. he gaved me that difference .. n the next month i was to give it back to him n he was refusing to take it .. but i insist till he took it.

Use ur mind n u can correct any thing, use ur feelings n u will distroy everything.

you know what else i have learnt: its to give respect to people who are the low income group...because we usually take them for granted.and many show disrespect to them becasue they feel they dont match up to each ones standards.

its in college i learnt to respect them ie the clerks, shop attendants, tea boys and they would go the extra mile to help me with whatever i needed...all they need in return for us to acknowlegde their presence and a simple thankyou to them goes a long way.

when i go to the private clinincs i make it a point to ask the nurse's name.....and one place that i frequent...the nurse one day recognised my call when i spoke her name becasue she siad that of all the patients that come to the clinic....myself and another lady were the only ones who had bothered to ask her the name and call her by her name.

so if today we respect each other.....tomorrow someone will return that respect back to us.

there was a quote i had read some place that explained that no matter how good you are to your own people but if you rude to the waiter....then you are not a nice person.makes sense doesnt it?

"help always comes from unexpected corners" that's very true .. sometimes i expected certain people to help n they didn't.. while i didn't expect some people to help me n they were so helpful more than anyone.

i remember when i came back to Qatar.. my father is married .. so i realized that i cannot live with my father so i rented a room .. but for some reasons i have to shift to another room.. i couldn't find any place to go .. MY FATHER (for sorrow) refused to host me for even few days till i find a place n he even refused to keep some items at his home.. i had to sell it with a very low low price.. i was here in qatar just for 1 month... then THANK ALLAH i found a shared room.. but i have to rent a pick up to shift my stuff from the old room to the new one .. i wasn't having enough money to pay for it .. asked MY FATHER to help me.. he was like "Don't ask me for even 1 riyal" .. guess who helped me... the company driver which i knew him from 30 days .. he came with the company car n we shifted together my stuff.. then i found about 50 riyals i was forgetting where i kept it (considered as lost) in that day .. so i said i have to give it to him .. he refused to take it .. n he told me i didn't expect any thing from u .. i'm just helping cuz i found that u need help...

see.. a big difference between my father n the driver which i knew him from 30 days .. i was like shocked ..my mind couldn't understand the situation.. but then i realized that Allah is sending people to help u somewhere while u don't expect them to help.

Lessons i learned from this situation:

1- expect any thing from any one

2- have a strong believe in Allah

3- don't hurt someone who tried to help u by paying him/her for this help (it really hurts them)

4- ur father (or parent) may kill u, but u still saying MY FATHER. u have to forgive when they do a mistake cuz wutever happened he still ur father.

5- Don't lose hope, there is always a solution for each prob. it might be hidden from u but if we didn't live the hard moments we wouldn't realize the good ones.

not sometimes RAM, most of the time people bite the hand that helps them...thats world right?

but we get dissappointed because somewhere we probably expected something back....in whichever way.

so help and then just leave it.the rewards would be in some other form that we dont know. who knows someday someone will advise us in the same open manner that we do to help people.

help always comes from unexpected corners.only the ONE above decides who that help is and our good deeds today will probably increase the number of helping people or just remove the problem for which we may need help.insha'allah.this is a prayer for you too.

first of all...dont be dejected.this not the time to give up.

second: worst case scenario....be prepared to leave this country and look at options of job in other places too. this is not the end of the world.

third: as per my knowledge if you had a sponsor change here and you are a local recruit...then the sponsors usually give a release without much hassle.

fourth: whatever you do....dont antagonise them or threaten them with legal issues. try to evaluate your position by communicating with the HR and find out what the real issue is. go calmly, slowly and steadily about this matter because this can backfire on your face real bad.dont demand anything from them because although you have rights they have an equal right to kick you out of the country if they feel you are more interested in working for someone else other than them.your reasons are of no consequence to them.

lastly......there is a right time for everything.it is not in our hands to decide what happens and when...so have faith in yourself and in the Creator you believe in and work towards achieving your goals in a peaceful and polite manner.

all the best and cheer up.

There is a legal way .. go to labor department and u can tell them ur problem .. there is a fees of about 4,000 q.r that u pay n take the release if u were lucky..

of course u will ask wut does it mean if u were lucky .. it means that they have to make some investigation .. i don't know exactly wut do they investigate about and depending on it they will accept or u will be fired out Qatar for 2 years by canceling ur Visa.. it's a risk or all will do it.

again be careful, think twice b4 doing any thing or taking any action.

I'm very much familiar with these kind of as***les they exploit people. I've been to saudia and it's worst over there.

Ask your new employer to get a visa for you. If they give you positive sign just throw a resignation letter on your present employer and go on exit. But try first what Ram suggested!!

Hai ram,

Thanx for ur great advice. your wording are very sharp . Anyway ,i decided to fight,i dont want to spoil my life with this *** company. But i want to know whether there is any possibilities to get a release legally. thanks ram..

expecting more legal advise also.....

try to send a reminder don't sleep on it ... send again n again .. try to talk to ur manager or to ur HR manager ..

One important point ... Don't let them see the defeat in ur eyes.. be strong n brave .. u r asking for ur rights ..

ur god is providing u ur daily bread not the company or ur employer.. take a decision that it's even the release or going back to country .. if they really need u .. they will raise ur salary with a good amount .. if they don't they will give u the release... man there is a point .. ignoring ur request means that they need u ..

Note: i'm only advicing u and i'm not responsible for any thing will happen. be sure that it's all on ur own. this is an advice u can take it or leave it.
