@@@rimlaw..
that semms to be correct..wen i cald them over phone they are saying that they will extend my joining as all projects are being postponded due to this financial crisis..may be its true..may be they hav withdrew offer currently..thanks a lot rimlaw and qatarsun.and by the way if you have any openings for electronics and communication engineer in your company...do inform me...atleast i wil get a nice coworker..LOL
if you got interviewed here on a business visit visa, it is highly unlikely that your employer was able to get you a work visa. The first requirement for work visa approval is your passport and 12 colored pictures, how could your employer ever secured a visa for you when you have with you your passport since you went home to the Phils, and your pictures taken when you are also there?
the information you got is probably false, and it was not your visa was cancelled, only the application...
actually i didnt got the job through agent...I was directly called for interview by the company and was selected...while i was there in qatar on visit visa..
there is a whale of difference between an agreement and a visa. If your employment agreement was similarly cancelled or terminated before the term ended then run after the agent-representative. The agency agreement between the employer and the agent makes the latter jointly and severally liable in law for any illegal acts of the principal-employer...
the issue as you presented appears to me as mere cancellation of your "engineer's visa". it might be that your employer is replacing it with a doctor's visa! (LOL)..
What about the work agreement signed with the company..Does it have any value?
the employer can unilaterally cancel your visa even if this is against your will. Employer's being the applicant, sponsor and facilitator of any worker's visa can cancel at will their application and sponsorship.
Visa is not like any property rights of the beneficiary that enjoys protection under the law of the state. It is just a mere privillege that can be withdrawn anytime even without notice to or consent by the beneiciary.
of course they can cancel your visa, and a whole deal. Why not? But if it is respectful company they should inform you and apologize I guess.. If it’s some crappy company, and they keep playing games, why to get upset? Be happy that you didn’t join some jerks
