Hi. My wife had sponsored for my visit visa 6 months which is about to get over. I wanted to know if she can be my permanent sponsor so that I can work without the company issuing the job visa. If not, can I extend by 2 - 3 months of my visit visa???

yes, its is not permissible for the wife to sponsor her husband, in some cases upon termination of a male employee he is packed back alongwith his family, even if the wife is working she cant do nything except to let him go back!

MBK...as you know, its not the law but the person at the counter, who decides :P

I remember some changes in the law through an Emiri Decree issued in April 2009 stating that a woman can sponsor her husband ... but in my case, it was rejected by the Immigration Authorities saying that the rule was changed only in newspapers :P

Sorry buddy dont get your argument. You been here for so long on a visit visa provided by your wife and did not know if you can or cannot get sponsored by her. Now that shows that you have not done your reserch. If your wife could sponsor you on your visit visa then I am sure she can sponsor you, as long as she meets the immigration requirements.

I have a few friends who are sponsored by their wife and was going to share with you but I guess you non-politeness made me rethink again!

Have a nice day and hope you get the answer your looking for!
