Is Cancelling Qatar RP is must ?

I am currently in Qatar since last 10 years now I have got a good employment offer from Abu Dhabi based company. Employment Visa has been also issued by the new employer. However I am in BIG CONFUSION with respect to RP visa stamp in UAE upon arrival.

I will leave Qatar without cancelling mine and my family RP directly to UAE cancellation is not possible because sponsor will never do that on time and I will miss the opportunity. As I understand airlines and Qatar Immigration does not have any problem but when we get into AUH later when my RP stamp gets underway we may be asked to cancel the Qatar RP prior to UAE RP stamping.

This is what is causing serious concern and would like to know IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE UAE RP WHILE QATAR RP IS NOT CANCELLED.

My company in Qatar is different from the company I am joining therefore the sponsor / company name on RP will not match.

PLEASE LET ME HAVE INPUTS ON ABOVE.

ALSO ANY POSSIBLE WAYS TO REMAIN IN UAE WITH FAMILY AND WORK ON SOME OTHER VISA IF RP IS NOT STAMPED DUE TO QATAR VISA.

It is all depend on the Company (Employer/s); you have to mutually agree with your employer with genuine reasons to hold dual RP.

Such as frequent traveller between two countries for business reasons, on secondment from the Group office having branches in both countries and may be personal reasons like in OP.

who have two GCC RP. In my compnay two person have Qatar & KSA RP. Even if you don't cancel your Qatar RP then it will be cancelled automatically after your six months stay out of Qatar.

you can hold two valid RPs. you need to pay extra to maintain the RPs. thats all.

If at all you want to cancel, cancel it now otself and travel to UAE since your company has laready issued you a visa.

In your case; only your new employer's PRO (from Abu Dhabi) could assist; they can give an assurance letter to UAE immigration that after a period of 2/3 months, they would arrange to get Qatar RP cancelled and get UAE Visa stamped.

Once get UAE visa stamped, you could return back to Qatar and get Qatar RP cancelled in the correct process.

I know several people who holds both visas (UAE and Qatar).

imm...you are not GCC nationality....as you can hold different things...so you should follow the legal way and make sure you get visa / work permit there....and then you have to canceled ur RP and leave other wise you will be hang in between like BAT...

you can only hold 1 RP in GCC.

Qatar RP must be cancelled.

"My company in Qatar is different from the company I am joining therefore the sponsor / company name on RP will not match."

- you have to ask your SPONSOR to cancel your RP (regardless of what company you joined.)

You can NOT have an RP from two different GCC states. You MUST cancel your Qatar RP or you will NOT get a UAE one.

As far as I know,One can hold only one work visa in any GCC country.

If you work with any other visa in UAE, that would be illegal there.
