To convert to job visa, re-medical is needed ??

I am on visiting visa and had done my medical test within one month time of my arrival and got the visa extended for six months. Now, I got a job and need to change my visiting visa to job visa. Is it mandatory that I should once again go for a medical test?? The first one was done in December 2010. Please help

Yes, you have to go through medical again and this medical result will be used at the immigration while issuing you the work visa. You'll have to go to CID for finger printing after medical.
