Designation in the work Visa and the Contract.
Could someone please inform me, how the company is making the work contract between the employee and the company?
For eg: In the work visa, designation is as an Accountant and actually the company is offering the job offer to the employee as a Manager then what will write on the work contact ? Is it as a Accountant or Manager.
Is it possible to make the work contract between the company and employee, by entering the designation as the Manager, even though in the work visa the designation is mentioned as a Accountant?
Nothing wrong to continue as a Manager and your profession is an accountant, you are eligible for all the benifits.
Syedkhadeer, not always you can change a designation in your ID. Sometimes it's better even not to try..As you said, if the company couldn’t get let’s say "Indian Manager" visa (that was the reason why they recorded him as an Accountant, right?), what make you thinking that after he is hired, the Company will get a quota for “Indian Manager”? Moreover, when such attempt is made at the time the renewal RP, and the quota for “Indian Manager” is not approved, government might cancel this RP completely, under any designation.
And by the way it includes westerners as well, when it comes to the administrative positions (don’t forget Qatarisation). Let's say some british was hired 3 years ago as an Admin. When he tries to renew his RP, the quota for “UK Admin” is rejected, and “Qatari Admin” quota is given instead, in order to encourage the Companies to hire locals. That's it. Brit will have to go home, or to try to find another job.
One should be very careful with such thing.
This practice is normal in Gulf Countries, many companies they dont get visa allotments same as they requirments, so they use different visa to recruit different categories.
Once the visa is stamped, your can request your HR to change your position on the visa and contract as you were recruited.
