Do I need NOC letter for a government company

I am working now in a private company, do I need NOC letter from my current employer to transfer for a new job? cos it might difficult to get it from my current job, but my new job will be a government company, so is it necessary NOC letter for a government company? I heard from someone that if my new sponsor will be a government firm then no need for NOC letter, is it true? anyone has any idea about this issue

if the law has to be followed, everybody has to submit an NOC.

I did not give NOC ....it happend 5 yrs back but right now....PCC is must

Check with the Personnel dept in this govt dept who offered you the job, explain that you might not get NOC, if they say 'mafi mushkilla', then no issues..
