hai all,

I came to know 4m QL that the authorities are going to raise the minimum salary criterion 4m 4500 to 7000QR.That is those with basic salary less than 70000QR will not be able to sponsor their wife and children.

Myself and my husband has RP but husband's salary is less than 70000QR. I am expecting a baby and will be due on April 2009.
If the rule comes to effect Can we bring our baby from India to Qatar when he's 2 months old(normally the baby doesnt need a visa at that time)???
Does the salary criteria still apply to infants below 3 months who dont need a visa???
This is a very bad news for us at this stage.

Waiting despirately 4 your advice on this. Please help.

As far as I know, only the husband has limitations of basic salary requirements. The case of QR 7,000.00 minimum basic salary is applicable to male resident/ expats to bring his family here. On your case if you are already working here with your husband, they will consider your case with combined salary to meet the requirements and have your children to stay with you.

Hope it clarifies what you are asking.

Cheers!!!
