Education Certificates Attestation - query for Indians

HiQatar
By HiQatar

I've finally got my work visa to Qatar ... but before coming there, I was told to get my Education Certificates attested in the Ministry of External Affairs and the Qatar Embassy in India ... But they later told me that I could as well get them attested in the Indian Embassy in Qatar itself, rather than go to Delhi or Mumbai ...

I just wanted a re affirmation that I can really get it attested in the Indian Embassy and it will be helpful if any one can let me know how much time they take to get it attested ...

It will save a lot of pain in going to Delhi or Mumbai and going around the gov offices ...

Thanks in Advance

Hi mv,

I am not Indian, so it may be a different story for you. But I can tell you as a Canadian I had to have my docs attested at the Qatar Embassy in Canada.

Not sure if that is helpful or not for your situation, but I would imagine most countries are the same.

Good luck!

In India, the cost of attesting a degree certificate from Qatar embassy is 2800Rs...... If you want you can attest from Indian Embassy in Doha but for that first you must attest from Ministry of External Affairs from Delhi then only you can attest from here.... Tho cost of attestation is 39 riyal and it will be delivered on the same day...

Submission time 8.00am to 10.30 am

Receiving time 3.00pm to 3.45pm

I mam myself an Indian Embassy employee.....

Hope it is clear

Hi,

After reaching Qatar, I was told to get my marksheets attested by my employer. I have my Degree attested by the university, HRD, MEA & Qatar Embassy(India). Kindly suggest me the most convenient way to proceed i.e time saving & easy on my pocket.

Will the Indian Embassy & Ministry of Internal Affairs attest my marksheets without attestations on them from India?

I have 7 marksheets & the agency charges are pretty HIGH.

Kindly suggest.

I recently landed in Qatar from Oman. My degree certificate is having stamp from HRD and External affairs Ministry in India. I also have the Oman stamp on the same.

My question is, I have already laminated my original degree certificate after getting the above done. Now, to get the stamp from Qatar, is it ok to attest the true copy from indian embassy and take the true copy to Qatar Embassy and stamp the Qatar attestation on the true copy?

Thanks in advance.

Heard the New rule is to get the certificates attested by the Home affairs ministry of the state which you belong to and then Qatar embassy.

I dont think u require the Ministry of External affairs , India attestation again.

if you are lucky you can get it done within a day or two.

Also do you guys know that nowhere in the indian embassy they have displayed the requirements for document attestation.

you

stand in the queue (or wait for your token call) and on reaching the

counter you find you dont have two copies of the documents you wish to

attest and the two filled out forms which are mandatory.

so what you have to do is go back to guy who does the photocopying and start all over again.

so be sure you got them all correctly

cheers

Can you please tell me, how many days it took for you to receive your work visa after you submitted all your documents.

HiQatar

Thanks GG ... and everyone ... I am from Hyderabad ... I guess its easier to get in done in Qatar itself ... rather than going around the gov offices ... I've consulted an agent but I would rather keep the certificates with myself than any one else ...

Last year, I had a very bad experience after giving my passport to an agent for getting an ECNR ... I dont want that to happen to my certificates ...

Anyway, thanks pals ... hope to meet you all soon ...

Cheers!!!

When I first arrived here,

I took my Certificates to Indian Embassy in Qatar. They charged me Qr. 40/- per certificate to attest and later I took the same to ministry of Internal Affiars who did the same for some thing around Qr.100 (I am not sure).

Even though it might sound expensive, but remember its quick and easy and hassel free...

Indian Embassy, usually will return the certificates immeditealy or some times you may be asked to come the next day or same day in the evening. Ministry of Internal Affiars usually returns in few minutes.

Just make sure you have all the certificates sealed and signed by Indian Embassy before leaving the building. I had a hard time with this matter, after reaching MOI, my certificates were not accepted just for a reason that one certificate was sealed but not signed by the Indian Embassy, I had to travel all the way back...

Congrats... finally you will be here soon.. Regarding certificate attestation, you dont need to go in person to Delhi or Bombay many travel agents are doing it in India. You can give it to any reputed travel agent to do it for you.  You can also do it in Indian embassy here, but they charge you 100 Riyals or so…. for each certificate... that will cost you a lot if you have multiple degree certificates… but its more hassle free than in India.  Which part of India Are you from?
