My wife and kids (age below 10 years) are in Qatar for visit Visa for the past 3 months. Should the Exit permit is required for them to leave Qatar?

It is not required.
Whether the exit permit is required or not, it depends upon the stay duration of the visitor. As per my knowledge if the stay duration is more than certain number of days one require an exit permit to leave the country else it is not required. I am not very sure about the exact duration but as per the information I have it is 87 days. So, that means if the stay period is longer than 87 days, one will need an exit permit to leave.
according to my experience, exit permit doesn't required.
