extention of visit visa

Hi,

I have brought my dad here on a visit visa that is expiring on the 4th of Feb (but his ticket is booked for the 1st of Feb). I want to extend his stay here. Could someone guide me on the procedure?

Also regarding the medical, what document do I need to carry to the Abu hamur Medical commission? how long will it take to get the results? what is the next step after that?

any help will be greatly appreciated

thanks

Medical result will be available within 3days maximum. You still have time if you try to go tomorrow early morning then you can get the result on 28th that you may visit immigration to extend his visit visa.

200QR per month of extension

u didn't mention which type of visit visa ur dad has.

If it is family visit u can extend it up to 6 months.

Qrs.200/-fine per day -it is a correct information.

thanks hms....

how long does it take to get the medical results, as I think, his ticket may have to be postponed before he gets his medical result and if he fails the medical then he will have no way of travelling home. he is 71 years of age.

I heard, any delay in the country without visa is a fine of Qr 200/- day.

Immediately go to medical commissioning or to (Wakra health centre early morning 6.45 ( as they will take only 15 applications per day)), you need to fill the form available there, i think 3 photos are required, then after the medical say 3 days visit any of the immigration offices and extend the visa upto maximum 6 months, process easy not as cumbersome as getting a visit visa. go ahead.
