Hi Friends, I have applied for Family residence VISA on 1-Mar-15 with the following documents

1) Filled Application

2) NOC from company

3) Wife's Passport copy

4) My QID Copy

5) MY RP Copy

6) Marriage certificate (Attested in India & Qatar)

7) Engineering Degree certificate (English & Arabic format attested in India & Qatar)

8) 6 months bank statement for QR 10,000

9) Rental agreement ( Registered at Baladiya).

After 3 days of submission my application status was shown as " The application is Deferred". Then i approached Garaffa Immigration office with original documents.

She had asked me whether i had paid fees for rental agreement registration (She forgot to see the seal in back side of last page). Then i clarified her & gave the cleared copy of my rental agreement again.

Anybody can tell what will be the next process and what is the possibility of approval?

Dear Prathees, Once you enter into Qatar you have to undergo medical, finger printing then only your Residential permit can be stamped and ur QID will be issued if you are coming in employment VISA. If you re coming in Business VISA it will take some months to convert it into employment VISA based on your employer. So first check with your employer whether they are providing you Business VISA or Employment VISA.

Then you can't bring your family in Family Residence VISA immediately. As per Qatar rules you have to attach your salary statement of QR 10,000 for 6 months with your Family residence visa application. So you can bring them in residence visa after 6 months if your salary is minimum 10,000 QR.

But you can bring them in Family visit visa for 225 days after you getting your QID.

Hi Saravana, Need your help as I am also planning to move to Qatar with family for a period of two years starting June'15. I am planning to enter Qatar first after my visa process, and I would be applying for work permit visa. What I understand is that to get a house on rent itself will take a month, as I need to get Qatar ID card. Requesting you to help me and will be thankful if we can converse separately through email as well. In which place are you currently living? Abu Hamour? heard that this area is populated with Indians.
