Family Residence Visa New Info
Dear Friends,
Recently I went to the Immigration dept. near Madinat Khalifa, I get to know the following conditions, most of them are listed, the important one which is bottleneck in my case is 6 months Local bank statement on letterhead of bank signed my bank manager.
I am writing all again for ease.
1. Legalized marriage/Birth certificate from Ministry of foreign affairs and Qatar embassy of country of issue
These document should legalized here in Qatar also with MOFA.
2. Copy of Registered labor contract
3. NOC from sponsor
4. Salary certificate from the employer, it should be more than QR 10K, salary certificate and Labor contract should state the same salary, there should not be any difference.
5. Minimum 6 months of Local (Qatar)Bank statement stating your salary each month.
6. Electricity bill dated within Month or Lease agreement on the sponsor's name.
Point no 5 is something which delays the family arrival by at least 7 moths, which is really not good.

My wife arrived last June 15, she was not allowed to have the X-ray because she is pregnant, so what they did is to have a ppd test and unfortunately she was above the limits (one reason is she got some skin allergy). We are confident that she will clear it because she pass the medical test in our home country. She was referred to Rumaila hospital for a second opinion and unfortunately she was scheduled after 3rd week of July. Some of the comments is here says that she have to get the RP within one months? Is it applicable for a family residence visa?
Should we bring photos for the medical? What shoud we bring with us for medical -RP?

could you please let me know tenancy contract requirement for RP
in that case.. only that letter from company is required for permanent visa purpose?
I think this rental contract is a big issue... as most of the case there will be a real estate company and they might not provide owners id and other details...
What if company gives a letter that they can provide accomodation?

taxi drivers knows where is the Medical commission.. just bring the passport and printed visa write your mobile number.. then pay QR100 then wait for the text from METRASH register your mobile no. .. finger printing is somewhere in Salwa road.. bring the passport and the RP application for from MOI. visit the MOI site for application of RP then print it out it is needed in finger printing and the immigration..wait for SMS or visit the MOI website for the result then if it is ok bring the Passport and applied RP form from MOI site with picture attached...then go to gate no. 2 in the immigration dept. depends how many years of RP validity.. there is 1, 2 and 3 years.. 1 year is QR500.
If you are working in the company ask if they have liaison officer to facilitate all the requirements in immigration because it's easier. I had my visit visa already RP now.. the company where my husband is working process everything..liaison officer told us the requirements but not as difficult as what we are expecting 4 days after I got my visit visa.. had my medical 4 days after my arrival here received text it's ok then I went for finger printing the next day went to immigration for my RP that's all
For Medical u can go to Medical Commission - evening time would be better as there wont be much rush.. U need to take medical only with in 1 month from the date of arrival... after medical u will get an sms from metrash(if registered) else u can check the result in SCH website.. then u can go to any immigration centre(Gharafa/MEsaimeer/WAkra) for visa extension. Hope this helps...

my wife will arrive here in Qatar under Family Visit Visa and I will start processing for RP. I don't know where to send my wife for Medical, and what are the requirements. Please help.

the important thing is that the agreement is under your name. electricity and water bill is just for the purpose of locating your flat/villa. they know lifestyle here in qatar, all people transfer their room every now and then, so it doesn't really require that elect/water bill should be under your name.

how can you get the electricity bill in your name if the tenancy contract is not in your name?
I was asked for the baladiya attested tenancy contract.
electricity bill nowadays are not needed as per my experience. they are looking more for your tenancy agreement which is attested by baladiya.
But recently when i searched in QL, i got this info regarding rental agreement... so I am trying to arrange it (directly from Qatari) and get it attested... If its not required then i will submit an Electricity bill.
100% right equalhrc....we can do in this way also...
Either electricity bill or rental agreement as per my knowledge.

Medical should be done within 1 month from the date of arrival.
It is not Compulsory to Get the Medical Done within 72 hours....
Salary range of minimum 10k is the only change from previous and the rest are same. Also as specialist said you dont need to submit salary statement to bring your family for visit for 6 months and by that time you can collect the 6 months statements and from staying here you can apply for a permanent family visa and convert to the same. There are too many things which makes your life hell on Family visit visa.
1. In Family visit visa you need to arrange everything, your PRO or company representative wont support.
2. If you family comes, then within 72 hours you need to take them for Medical test.
3. Once the medical test done start preparing for visa extension.
The point is while doing your job from sunday to thursday, it is very difficult to do all the these activities....My employer will take care everything in case of family residence visa...
It is a matter of time which we are not getting .....

You can get your family here on Family Visit Visa valid for 6 months and after that you may apply for their RP.
