for the process of converting family visit visa to Family RP, do we need to complete medical examination first , finger printing & proceed to immigration department for applying RP or do we need to get approval for permanent visa first? Family arrived here in Qatar last week

Hi,

Even though ur family is on visit and wish to stay more than a month, they need to finish medical to extend the visa for the 2nd month.

If you need permanent RP for that you have to apply first with all the proper documents and once it approved then you have to go for medical again and them finger print to get the RP.

Medical exam is a must if you wish to continue more than one month. Finger print is required only after the Residence visa is approved. You will have to pay QAR 500 for visa conversion.
