Family Visa
I am an Indian, currently working and living in Oman with my family. I was offered a job in Doha, Qatar and excited to move to Qatar. They are providing Employment Visa to come to Qatar. Now my question is, how much time it will take to get a Resident Permit (RP) for me. And after that, how much it will take to apply for Family Visa. My profession is Marketing Manager. I heard that for family visa I need to wait for 6 months? If so, it is very difficult for me to come Qatar without family for 6 months. My son will lose his schooling. Is there any other ways to get the Family Visa immediately in Qatar? Please answer.
Once you have your Qatar RP and obtained the required documents for the processing of your family visa, you can process it immediately.

4. Birth Certificate of children, duly attested
5. Clear Passport copy of family
6. Application form

There is no such rules that you have to wait for 6 months for applying for your family visa. However, you should have your RP formalities (medical, finger print, RP stamping etc...)completed before applying for your family visa. Under normal conditions, it takes less than a month. Also for family visa, you have to make sure that the job mentioned in your visa qualifies for family status. Some times, companies offer good job, but fail to get labour approval for the same and apply for visa for different job title and get approval. This may not affect the position or job in your company, but may affect getting family visa. If your job title is good and you earn good salary, it normally takes less than a week to get family visa approval.
