I am in currently in the process of negotiating for a job in Qatar. I would like to bring my wife and son with me, can someone please advise on the process that needs to be followed. Will they be able to come with me when I mobilise or will they need to follow me at a later date?

Visa processing duration is 45 to 60days...

Once you got the approval of your visa, your company has to apply for medical appointment.

After your medical test approval, apply of finger prints, once it done you will get your RP done and will get your ID in few days. Once you have received the QATAR ID you can able to apply the Visit visa for your family.

Requirements for applying Visa for Wife :-

1, copy of personal id or passport of the resident wife

2, Letter from wife employer citing profession and salary

3, copy of attested marriage certificate

4, copy of Husband valid passport

5, Residential tenancy contract

@syxx, All depends upon the speed at which your company completes the formalities after you join them, if they can arrange a visit visa then your family can come with you but they will have to exit when it expires. If you want to bring them on your family visit visa then it might take 3-4 months, if it has to be a residence permit (RP) then a much longer time, all these are the regulations in Qatar which is quite different to the other Gulf countries.
