Hi QL members, I was on family visa under my husband sponsor few months back. Can I apply for a work visa without getting my husband NOC. What is the lead period to apply without husband NOC? How long need to be outside the Qatar? If it is TWO years from the date of last exit from Qatar Without NOC,

why have to wait for 2 years similar to the one holding work visa ! ! ! If a person under family visa not entering for 6 months will be automatically cancelled isn't it? Advance Thanks buddys for your response.

Devathai you don't need to apply for a work visa  in order to work. All you need is your husband NOC letter and you can apply to any company of your choice. After that your company will arrange for your work permit at the Ministry of Labor. Some companies preferred husband or father's sponsor applicants. Another advantage is you can change employment without much hassle. Being your husband as your sponsor you should not stay more than six months outside Qatar. You can stay more than 6 months provided your husband has extended your outside stay of Qatar by reporting to the Immigration Doha airport before the 6 months period and pay extension fee in order for your residence visa not to be cancelled.
