Dear All,

My wife is coming to Doha from India on family visit visa (initially 1 month, extendable to 6 months). We are planning to change it to residence couple of months later. Since she is initially entering Doha on a visit visa, is it necessary that we need to buy a two way ticket now itself? Or can you just come to Doha in a one-way ticket?

Ok Thanks...Just that we need to book the tickets with both the airlines at the same time before the journey commences from India..Correct?

yes. it doesnt matter what airlines you book tickets with.

Thanks for your replies folks…Can it be one way (from India to Doha) in one airline and the other way (from Doha to India) in another airline? Because the return with the same airline for a 6 return months ticket is about 800 QAR more.
