Hi Nishmack,

Did you able to do the process by your own? Appreciate if you can share your experience. I also got the approval and would like to do the same thing. Agency charges are really exorbitant!

eliashamzo, the criteria that both husband and wife should be working is not a fixed criteria, but yes they do check the salary drawn.

getting a maid through an agency is expensive but less headache and you get to interview the maid before finalsiing.they take care of all the paperwork and get her here, you just pick her up from the agency.

if you are doing it without agency, then you have to find the maid first, get the contract done, there are some formalities to be completed with the labour department as well as the embassy.she should also be fit to travel from her homecountry.the agency representing her in the homecountry will take care of that part.

go to the indonesian embassy and check the details.

As Far as i know :

Both husband and wife must be working , also some high salaries required .

and you cant bring from same nationality .

better to check with an agency it will be less headache for you and faster .
