Funny: GCC visa
just checked for Bahrain tourist Visa. The condition is-
"Applicant must have had a current resident permit of a GCC state for at least 6 months.
Applicant's resident permit for a GCC state must be valid for at least another 6 months."
NOW, since my Qatar RP is for one year period only (I guess thats the trend??), I can't fulfill above condition unless I travel on exactly after 6 month post RP.
expert comments please!!!
hi dear
there is nthng funny with the rules
the rule just want to make sure that u have spent sufficient time in GCC and ur RP has also sufficient time available to expire
u can have bahrain tourist visa in 2nd year onwards..
use common sence ;)
you shouldnt have this problem on the 2nd year of residency of if you have a multi year RP
This is just a condition on paper......nobody cares...initially Qatar RP got stamped for a year and later for 2 years every time you renew.
All the best and enjoy!
Painther, All GCC countries require a minimum 6 months valid RP in any other GCC countries to apply for a tourist visa. It is the rule and there is nothing funny in it. It is the minimum and not the maximum. If you are taking the visa on arrival then they are not strict in this minimum requirement.
