I WANTED TO TAKE 24 CARROTS GOLD BISCUITS TO MY HOME TOWN. IS THERE ANY TAXES THAT I NEED TO PAY IN THE AIRPORT? CAN ANYBODY HELP IN THIS REGARD.

i'd suggest you better declare it at the airport and pay the taxes involved in your country of arrival to ensure that these won't be lost. Of course, there are premiums for these also, if, you declare it at the airport. One of my friend, wanting to save, tried to put his jewelries in his suitcase only to find out it's missing when he unpacked. So his loss is bigger.

Otherwise, keep it in your pocket in a coin purse, if it's not that big quantity...

24 Carat Gold biscuits have different weights, Assuming you are taking them to India, There is a limit to amount of gold you can carry. Generally the customs don't bother if you just have one piece of it.

samaac, 2+2 is not 4 always, if indian corrupted custom officials knows then they will not let u leave easily without filling their stomachs, so better do not disclose to them.

As far as i know there is no tax for that and myhuna do u think if he will put biscuits in his pockets custom guys wont know about it? sridhar you can put it in your suitcase.

dont show your biscuit to customs, as u can keep it in ur pocket and from where u purchase and worth?
