Is having Israeli visa stamp a problem?
I would like to tour Qatar for a couple of days next month. I have an Israeli visa stamp in my passport when I visited Jerusalem from Amman in August 2008. Can I still get a tourist visa at Doha airport upon arrival? I have a US passport. I know Doha hosted an Israeli trade office, but I heard its been closed since the Gaza war. Thanks!
The official position of Qatar is that it is not a problem.

Nothing is a problem until it gets noticed. Just be prepared to be rejected and on the next plane out if it is.

Not a problem.

i have never seen an official reading through my whole passport looking at every stamp.
You might get lucky and the stamp would be overlooked, but I wouldn't count on it.

Last I heard (and from everything I have read about Qatar) was that officially stamps from Israel in your passport were a big no-no.
That said, I don't know that they check for it really -- maybe more bark than bite.
The Israeli trade office closed in January...
