I have some questions about cancellation & re-entry in qatar. My contract will end & terminate on Jan. 1, 2013 (2yrs contract) but I'm planning for a cancellation/exiting and possible re-entry again because another company offer me job which for me a great opportunity but they ask me if I can get an NOC from my current employer. But sad to say our company doesn't give NOC to their workers so I'm thinking of just cancelling my visa and exit qatar. 1. Do I have to renew my visa (pataka) if I'll decide to cancel? 2. If I extend for 3months so my visa will be renewed, is a negotiation of buy-out bet. my current employer and the other possible? Are their any procedures? 3. What if I extend & renewed my visa and go for a vacation after 3months and their in my Country decide to cancel my visa, how long would it take me to wait for a re-entry here in Qatar, is it 6months or 2 years?

Penduko. First of all you cannot cancel your visa. It is only your employer who will apply for its cancellation if you're going home for good. Once your visa is cancelled you have one week to exit Qatar. Otherwise you have to pay a heavy fine for overstaying. NO you can't renew your pataka let alone extend your visa without the consent of your employer. If your visa is cancelled you have to wait for two years before you can work again. If you have NOC that's another story. Two years ban will not apply. I hope this will help in clearing up your confusion.
YOU SHOULD HAVE TO CANCEEL UR VISA OR TO WAIT UNTIL FINISH THE VISA PERIOD OR LEAVE BEFORE ENDING VISA,BUT FOR NEXT VISA U SHOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTILL A YEAR AND THEN U CAN COME BACK TO QATAR..
First you should Have NOC for re entry or to get job.
Alternative : Take the buisness VISA Which can extendable up to 6 months and do your job (in new company).Because Buisness VISA doesn't need NOC to do job a new company.BUT
If your company ready to take you by buisness VISA.If not you have to provide NOC to apply Professional work VISA.
You need keep in mind who will bear the cost of buisness vISA?
