Hi there, here me again..
I just would like to ask you guys if someone of you know how to get or to apply for "Police Clearance"?
I just need it for my wife who wanted to work..
Do i need to go to CID and direct to apply and get there for a police clearance? or is there any online services that I can get there instantly?
Please advice.
Thanks a lot.

Just done it this morning at the UK embassy. Here is the system.
You have to fax your passport copy. Every Tuesday between 8-10, you go in it take 5 mins to collect a UK police clearance form. You pay Qrs.360. They have a fax number to send your passport copy to... thrown it out sorry,...but just call in to get it. Put on the top of the copy "For Police Clearance Purposes".
Once collected, they will give you a bit of paper telling you to get it attested at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The next step is to CID with a couple of photos.... Basically, you need to wait till next Tuesday to finish step one.
Plaza3804 thanks for the kind response, but I need the Police clearance certificate issued by (Qatar) CID as per requirement listed in the check list and not the Police clearance that can be obtained from our home country.
Is it means that We should go to CID Office in Asisia to take and get the Police clearance certificate?
As far as I know you have to have police clearance from your home country and THEN apply for CID clearance here in Doha. You have to go in person. I had to have a letter from the company where I was offered a job, and I was also told to have my qualifications translated into Arabic (although they were in English)before I finally got the CID clearance. Good luck!
if you are still in the UK -
Go to your nearest police station ask for a "Police Access Form". Take it home, complete it and send it where it tells you. A Certificate will wing its way back to you within 4 weeks.
Alternatively go to the embassy here and ask for the form.
We did it in the UK, so have no experience with embassy bureaucracy.
