How can we get through with this? Please advise.

Happy new year to all!

My fiance went here last 18 Nov holding business visa. There were few offers but we decided to decline because of low salary. Since his visa will expire then, we decided to "buy" a working visa, but until now it was not released yet.

Our concern is the penalty of 200/day. We thought it will be released a week after Dec 18, and we took the risk of paying the penalty from then. Unfortunately, until now we did not get it.

Anyone knows what we should do? Please advise. We are so so worried.

QS is absolutely right!

And another illegality on the way is when he got the visa,... obviously he will be looking for a good paying job and work for another employer NOT his sponsor.

I am really sorry for saying it and for mentioning the nationality.. but I think something really bad is going on in Qatar with all these “selling-buying” of the business and working visa to Filipinos.. Some real black market. I think it’s about a time for the police to check these illegal trades…

castle8, It is a CRIME to trade visas. You and your “fiancée” committed a crime once by buying a business visa, then you both committed a crime second time by buying a work visa. Then your “fiancée” keeps committing a crime by staying in Qatar illegally.. ..and you have an audacity and impudence to ask for the advice and help on the public forum? are you that stupid?? have you mom and your dad ever told you what is BAD and what is GOOD?

You concern about penalty?? But you don't seem to be concerned about violating a law of State of Qatar.

Again, I wouldn’t mention the nationality, but u never hear anything like from anybody else except of Filipinos… I think relevant Authorities should look into this matter of Filipino black market and visa trading..

If you have purchased an illegal visa you have very little recourse when it comes to appealing to the authorities for assistance. Nor do you have much wasta with the person or agency who is selling you this visa - they have you trapped in their system. I wish you better luck in the future. Please tell others that this is not a good way to go. You have no legal protection.

If you go to the visa building down by the airport (white building) they will advise you on your situation so you don't find yourself in a difficult situation that you'd not anticipated. Normally you won't get a working visa without a job....?? unless something very new has changed here??, so you could find yourself in an expensive predicament. Go and make sure, as this can be a costly mistake if you're in doubt!

If his work visa application is already submitted in the Immigration and currently under process, penalty won't count and you can wait for its release.

Btw, expired Business Visa will charge you Qr500/day and Tourist Visa Qr200/day.
