How to cancel visa in absence of the concerned, but with his passport ?

My husband is divorced, but still has his ex-wife on his sponsorship.
She is not living in Qatar anymore and now sent him her passport, so that he may cancel her Visa, - in order to be able to sponsor me instead on family visa.
He now was told by immigration that it is not possible to cancel a visa in the absence of the concerned person, what I can somehow not believe, as I know that sometimes people leave the country and never come back without cancelling their visa.
- Can please somebody tell me what we shall do and how to proceed ?
Your urgent help is required , and I thank you in advance.

Hi, U can easily cancel the visa if you have the passport with you. There will be a exit stamp in the passport. Take it to the immigration typig center and they will type a form for you . from the 3rd gate u can get the computer slip showing the exit . with both the document u can go to gate no. 2 and get it cancelled.

how long this ex-wife is away from Qatar ?.. If she does not come back within 180 days, her visa is cancelled, unless a fee of QR.500 is submitted. Hope she is away for months, so dont worry.

But how to include your name in her place ?... this is tricky ? I cannot advise how you will convince the Immigration officials that you are now the "real" wife etc.

Any experts,pls advise

the only thing you need to find out is the status of your husband in the Immigration office. Your visa wont be process under him if all details stated in his records will be of previous ones.

A visa automatically gets cancelled if the holder of the visa is not present in the country for 6 consecutive months.
